Chase Taylor is twenty-four years old and on the autism spectrum and is very quiet and an introvert. Chase is the author and illustrator of the The Letter Critters book series he created when was 17 years old with his first self-published 5-star rated book.Chase LOVES letters. Since he was a little boy, he had a passion for letters and cute characters. Chase struggles with being social but is willing to share his letter characters to teach children the alphabet and challenging words. Chase is a volunteer a Global Messenger for Special Olympics Connecticut. He was the “star” in the Special Olympics Unified Sports Softball commercial and the national Autism Speaks PSA commericial. He volunteers for Autism Speaks with team Chase & Friends for the Western Connecticut Autism Speaks Walk. Chase was the inspiration for the walk his parents started in 2010, which has raised over $900,000 for Autism Speaks. In addition, Chase has been in commercials on NBC Connecticut to promote the Autism Speaks Walks in Connecticut. Television appearance for his books on WTNH 8 and FOX 61 and radio appearance on 1320 AM WATR and The River. Chase’s first book, The Letter Critters was published in May 2017. All proceeds will be donated to a non-profit autism organization. The Letter Critters introduces the alphabet and phonics with adorable, cute woodland creatures like bears, foxes and squirrels that represent the letters of the alphabet.
The second book, The Letter Critters Biographies is a fun tongue-twisting way to learn more about the Letter Critters personalities and where they live. Enjoy traveling through the Letter Critters Town and learn more about each of The Letter Critters. The Letter Critters Biographies book is a colorful and fun way for children to learn about The Letter Critters personalities and where they live from A – Z.
The third book, The Letter Critters Talent Show, published by Mascot Books, is a creative way to show off the talents of the The Letter Critters in Critters Town. He was enrolled in a special college transition program and graduated with an associate’s degree in Graphic Design in the fall. He is currently working at OtherDesigns for a 2024 graphic design internship.
The books encourages children to learn letters and new words by looking at the cute animal illustrations. It will help children to identify letters and learn what words begins with those letters.
Chase’s dream is for his Letter Critters characters to become an animated series for children to enjoy!
